was formed in 1911 by women concerned for the welfare of their town and its citizens. They had three goals: to help make Waxhaw and its surrounding area a clean and safe place to live, to preserve the historical heritage of the region, and to work with town officials in all worthy undertakings. For almost 100 years, the members of this club have never wavered from those goals, and the town of Waxhaw has greatly benefited from those efforts.

The Waxhaw Woman's Club is a service organization and welcomes those women who would like to serve this community too.

2018 Tour of Homes

Holiday Tour of Homes

Did you know the charm of this beautiful little town lies in the people who live here, and the wonderful collection of homes they live in?  If you’ve been longing to see, firsthand, our fabulous assortment of architectural styles, then the Holiday Tour of Homes offered by the Waxhaw Woman’s Club is something you won’t want to miss, on Friday, November 30th from 10-6, and Saturday, December 1st from 10-5.

The tour will offer a collection of 8 properties unlike any others.  From a beautifully renovated Victorian home to one that is quite literally off the ground, there is something that will appeal to everyone.  For more information about the Tour this year, visit our Upcoming Events page.

Tour of Homes tickets can now be purchased online.  Visit our Tour of Homes Ticket page to purchase tickets.  Tickets are also available from members of the Woman’s Club, or from the following merchants in town: The Bead Merchants, Stewart’s Village Gallery, and Eight Legs Gallery.  Tickets are $20 from now through November 26th, or at the Woman’s Club for $25 on event days.

The Waxhaw Woman’s Club is honored to be partnering with A Cause for Tea.  A Cause for Tea was established from a desire to create opportunities where mothers, living in extreme poverty, could improve their lives and the lives of their children.  Their motto, “to globally empower women and children, demonstrating God’s love one teacup at a time”, perfectly expresses their purpose.  A Cause for Tea will be offering tea and cookies at the Woman’s Club to our Tour of Homes guests, as well as staffing a tea shop where they will offer teas, seasonal products, and handmade items for sale.  A Cause for Tea
