As many of you know, the May meeting of the Woman’s Club is always a celebration of our accomplishments of the year, shared over a lovely meal. It’s one of the favorite events at the Woman’s Club…
….but unlike previous years we will not be able to gather this year to enjoy a wonderful meal, the companionship of good friends, and to congratulate our scholarship recipients. This year the Woman’s Club will instead do what we do best, support our community.
To that end, since we are not having our May dinner, we would like to provide a luncheon for the teachers and staff from South Providence High School on Tuesday, June 1st, at the Woman’s Club building. The lunch will be catered by Greco Fresh Grille and will include a salad, a deconstructed Gyro Station, rice pilaf and spanakopita triangles, and a dessert tray.
The cost per plate is $16 and we are asking members to “sponsor a plate” for the luncheon. The goal is to serve 40 meals.
South Providence, being an alternative school, lacks the support of a Parent/Teacher Organization that the other high schools in the district enjoy. We ask for your support in helping the Woman’s Club show appreciation for the work done at South Providence every day. Perhaps they will be able to enjoy the same good spirit the Woman’s Club experiences every year.
