Project Prom 2023

This is our 8th annual prom dress give away. This event was fist held at Waxhaw Ray of Hope in 2016 and moved to the Woman’s Club in 2017. When I say “give away” I mean everything is free”!! We have hundreds of beautiful prom dresses and sparkling jewelry donated by club members and the public. Girls from all over Union County are welcome to come to the club that has been transformed into a boutique like setting. Members volunteer to help the young ladies make their selections for their big day. There is NO “proof of need” required.
This event also provides an opportunity for local high school students to earn their community service hours by helping set up and take down the boutique on Friday the 24th after school and Saturday immediately following the event. More about that as we get closer to March 25th.

919-815-7195.  This event is a wonderful way to get involved with other club members as we sort, size and prepare to play Fairy Godmothers to our community.

Hours:  Volunteer hours are available from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on event day.  Volunteers are also needed through the day on March 24th for setup.  More information will be available at general membership meetings prior to this event.
